Why I Believe in
I’m Hugo Alfredo, and I’ve always believed real change doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built step by step, through consistency and support.
In Cali, Colombia, I found a foundation doing exactly that: Ser para Ser walks alongside vulnerable young people for four years as they build their life plans. I’ve watched these young people enter university, become bilingual, launch businesses and social projects, and transform their own communities from within.
Talent doesn’t know social class. Circumstances should never define anyone’s limits. Ser para Ser proves that every single day — and now I’m inviting you to prove it with me.

At the Foundation, we walk alongside young people ages 13 to 18 living in vulnerable conditions in Cali for four years. This isn’t a program of talks: it’s a three-stage journey of transformation — Dream, Break, Change — where we give each young person back the certainty that their potential is real, and we plant real hope, because hope is what transforms a life.
We work with young people facing school dropout, the risk of armed recruitment and violence, teenage pregnancy, and extreme poverty, supporting them closely and consistently, without ever letting go, alongside their families. We’ve been walking with them for 14 years, and we believe our methodology can be replicated anywhere in the world.
